Jin Hak Son

Jin Hak Son was born in Sinhung County, South Hamgyong Province on July 11, 1974. After finishing a secondary school, he enrolled in the Faculty of Physics, Kim Il Sung University in 1991. He graduated from the university in 1997 and is now a lecturer in the Faculty of Energy Science.

He received a doctor's degree in energy science for his dissertation "Study on the Physical Properties of Metal and Intermetallic Compound by Precise AEAM" in 2014, and the associate professorship in 2019.

He gives lectures on "Methods in Computational Nuclear Physics". He has authored several textbooks and reference books including EAM and its Application. Over 20 of his papers have been published in the prestigious international academic journals including EAM Potentials for BCC, FCC and HCP Metals with Farther Neighbor Atoms (Applied Physics A, Springer, 2015, 120, 189-197). Over 40 of his papers including "The Bi-vacancy Properties of HCP Metals by MAEAM" were published in the national journals.

He has supervised five MSc dissertations.

His name was entered in the world biographical dictionary "Who's Who in the World" in 2018.
