Kim Il Sung University campus can be called a large-scale revolutionary historical site as it is personally associated with the peerless great leaders and lying adjacent to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun.
The university was personally visited 107 times by President Kim Il Sung, 31 times by Chairman Kim Jong Il, 5 times by the repected Comrade Kim Jong Un and 19 times by Comrade Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war heroine.
Traces of sacred guidance by President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk can be found in school buildings, dormitories, science library, e-library, gymnasium, swimming complex and other properties on campus.
In an effort to tell and retell these immortal exploits to posterity the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il along with Revolutionary Museum were magnificently established on Ryongnam Hill. Standing on campus are Monuments of on-the-spot Teachings of Great Leaders, Monument to a Poem by Chairman Kim Jong Il and Monument to Revolutionary Activities of Peerlessly Great Persons of Mt. Paektu.
The university named after President Kim Il Sung stands out to the whole world even more as it is an alma mater of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
