The main mission of the faculty is to develop aerospace mechanics, aerospace material engineering, aerospace electromagnetism, science of distance measuring instrument for satellites, science of satellite communication and other aerospace science as well as train practical, innovative and creative talents who possess expert knowledge of this field, and to develop satellites and airplanes, and to solve scientific and technical problems facing in application of the aerospace technology in the several sectors of the national economy.
The faculty was established in December, 2021. It is the "pedigree farm" of the aerospace education and scientific research in our country.
The faculty has 3 institutes(Aerospace mechanics Institute, Aerospace Material Engineering Institute, Aerospace Electronic Technology Institute) in which there are 11 research labs.
There are 5 departments-Aerospace mechanics Department, Aerospace Material Science Department, Aerospace Electronic Department, Satellite Distance Measuring Instrument Department, Satellite Communication Department.
