President
President
"We should steadfastly maintain the stand of achieving the historic cause of national independence by our own efforts, not by relying on any assistance from others."
Among the speeches he delivered in the meetings of military and political cadres during the anti-Japanese armed struggle is a speech on holding high the banner of independence by our own efforts, delivered in Camp North in the Far Eastern training base on August 5, 1942.
The President persistently adhered to the idea of holding high the banner of independence by our own efforts all through the anti-Japanese armed struggle.
Throughout the anti-Japanese armed struggle he thoroughly armed all the officers and soldiers in the Korean People's Revolutionary Army with the idea that we should defeat the Japanese imperialists to accomplish the cause of national liberation by our own efforts, holding high the banner of independence by ourselves from the standpoint that the master of the Korean revolution is ourselves in all respects.
Moreover, in the new situation and conditions in which the general international situation was turning in favor of the Korean revolution and the international allied forces had been formed, it was particularly important to steadfastly maintain the independent stand in further stepping up the preparation for the final anti-Japanese military operation for the national liberation.
Therefore he said in the meeting that although the Korean People's Revolutionary Army should begin to operate under the commanding system of the international allied forces, the independent stand of the Korean communists could never change, and stressed that we should discharge our mission and duty of fighting for the national liberation, keeping to the independent stand more steadfastly.
The idea of accomplishing national independence by our own efforts put forward by the President!
This was derived from the Juche-oriented standpoint and attitude that the master of the Korean revolution is the Koreans themselves in every respect and that we should firmly establish Juche in the Korean revolution and carry it through.
In addition, in his immortal classic works such as "The Path of the Korean Revolution", "The Ten-Point Program of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland", and "The Tasks of Korean Communists", President clearly elucidated the revolutionary lines, and strategy and tactics for different development stages of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, centered on the Korean revolution and based on the role of the Korean people.
Indeed, the President was a great, matchless brilliant commander who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation, solving all the problems arising in the whole course of the anti-Japanese armed struggle most precisely and perfectly, while adhering steadfastly to independent and creative stand with the banner of independence by our own efforts upheld high.
