Developing from an "Empty Envelop" Farm to a Rich Farm

 2026.4.6.

The proud reality of Korea prospering day by day is unthinkable separated from the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung who devoted his all for the country and the people all his life.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Comrade Kim Il Sung's was a noble life of a people's leader, who regarded ‘The people are my God' as his motto, applied it to his ideas and leadership and turned it into reality."

Several decades ago, a farm was listed on President Kim Il Sung's notebook as an "empty envelop" farm.

It was the Jangchon Vegetable Farm in Sadong District in a suburb of Pyongyang.

Today the farm has turned into a cultured socialist rural community, a splendid farm town, which can be shown off to the world, and the farmers' livelihood has been prosperous with each passing day, but in the past it was called a village with red mud only because of poor farming. When he first visited the farm, President Kim Il Sung was told by a girl assistant agro-engineer the farmers at the farm had received only empty envelopes at the time of account settlement because of poor farming. He wrote down the situation of the farm in his notebook one by one, saying that he would take responsibility for the farm.

From then on, he visited the farm in winter and summer and even holidays, turning it into a vegetable farm and ensuring that it reaped a bumper harvest of vegetables every year from the fields, on which the locals had said only foxtail millet or barnyard grass could be planted.

The farm associated with the warm love and leadership of the President has turned into a model farm, a rich farm, of socialist rural culture under the loving care of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

One day in June 2019, Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the farm and said that the farm looked like a country town, another fairyland in the era of the Workers' Party, and expressed great satisfaction.

Such a tale cannot be heard not only in this farm.

The country is blessed with the benevolent care of the peerlessly great persons who visit everywhere the people live and take care of them with paternal affection.
