Selfless, devoted service to people is the mode of existence of the Workers' Party of Korea and the essence of the people-first politics.
Today the Workers' Party of Korea has established, throughout the whole Party, the fighting environment, the revolutionary Party climate, of selfless, devoted service to people more thoroughly, and is leading the struggle for the great upsurge more dynamically by dint of single-hearted unity of the Party and people.
The fighting spirit of the Workers' Party of Korea which is distinguished by its selfless devotion to people finds its full expression, above all, in the fact that it has been taking full responsibility for the destiny of people and taking painstaking care of them to the last, standing whatever ordeals.
The fighting efficiency and spirit of the Worker's Party of Korea as such are manifested in the strengthened powerful defense capabilities of the country that will ensure the security, everlasting prosperity and eternal happiness of the people.
The destiny of the people, if deprived of their fatherland, is little better than a dog in a mourner´s house. In today's international arena where the imperialist and dominationist forces try to control high-handedly the countries aspiring after independence and progress, the reality is that the weak have no other choice but to submit to the strong, "wiping tears away".
The self-sacrificing spirit of the revolutionary Party will prove itself when it can reliably safeguard the destiny of people by means of the powerful force that can prevent the war forever by frustrating any hostile moves.
The greatest achievement of the Worker's Party of Korea, which regards it its noble duty to look after people in a highly responsible way, is that it has achieved the secure guarantee under which people can live the most dignified and happiest life in the world, by building the mightiest military power with its strongest national defense capabilities.
The greatest achievement made by the respected General Secretary in the history of the nation is that he has made the sky of the country ever blue and made our people the most dignified nation of the powerful country.
Witnessing the countries suffering in the vortex of wars, tragedy of bloodshed, terrorism, and revenge for the very reason that they have no true people's guardian even though they have long national history and culture, vast territories and abundant resources, and comparing the reality of today to the past when our nation was subjected to the humiliation of colonial slavery for the lack of even matchlock guns, the Korean people are greatly thankful to the respected General Secretary who has secured them their everlasting happiness and prosperity.
The true picture of the Party which takes full charge of people's destiny can be distinctively demonstrated in the days of emergency such as the days of manifold hardships, and the days of unexpected natural disasters.
At the time when the whole world was at a loss what to do in a total chaos caused by the COVID pandemic, the Workers Party of Korea lost no time in protecting people's lives and stabilizing their living, and when the people were flood-stricken, instantly built wonderful modern houses incomparable to the ones lost in the flood and gave them free. This has explicitly proved the WPK's will that people should be relieved from sorrow as soon as possible, however costly it might be.
Under the people-first politics of the WPK no enemy moves and no natural disasters should torment the people on this land, this is the truth manifested by the reality of today in the DPRK.
Next, the fighting spirit of the Workers' Party of Korea characterized by its unselfish dedication to people finds its expression in the fact that it has been devoting itself to the work to make the Korean people the happiest one in the world.
To bring the valiant, resourceful and noble-minded Korean people the happy life which world people will be very envious of as soon as possible, this is the lofty idea and steadfast determination of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The Workers' Party of Korea has stipulated the improvement of people's livelihood and well-being as its foremost mission, and is dynamically paving the road to build an economic power on this land where people's earthly paradise undreamed of will come true with the song ‘We are the happiest in the world' resounding forever.
The respected General Secretary goes on and on along the road of selfless service to people with the noble view of life that he would never regret his life even if his body should turn into a grain of sand and the determination that he would willingly accept any sufferings even if his flesh should be torn to shreds and ground to pieces.
Some of the episodes run in this connection: stories that he readily test-drove newly made subway trains, cable cars, and recreation facilities to be used by people, and anecdotes like midnight field inspections, field guidance tours in scorching heat, and midsummer on-the-spot visits.
Every corner of the country, every field concerning the people's life is associated with the respected General Secretary's revolutionary leadership and is impregnated with his fatherly fragrance: the building sites of houses and hospitals, catfish factories, fishing stations, foodstuff factories, daily-necessities factories, chicken farms, clothing factories, shoe factories, green-house farms, horse-riding clubs, hot-spring resorts, wading pools, zoos and so on.
Under his wise leadership everywhere in the DPRK and in every field concerning the people's life, miracles are being worked, innovations are being made, and people are taking to heart the epoch-making entities springing up like mushrooms after rain.

The devoted service to people is the very starting point of his thinking and practice, the basic wellspring of all the miracles and innovations of today, and the existing mode of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK.
The fighting spirit of the Workers' Party of Korea which is distinguished by its selfless, devoted service to people is also manifested by the consistent implementation and continuous expanse of popular policies of the socialist system.
The socialist society's original popular character does not naturally remain unchanged, simply because the society is for the people. The lesson of history has taught us that its original popular character may change depending on what kind of government the succeeding political leader will pursue.
The original popular character the WPK unwaveringly wants to maintain is evidenced by the people-oriented policies being invariably enforced and the continuous expansion of the policies demonstrating the superiority of the Korean-style socialist system centered on the popular masses.
The WPK's ardent love for people can be felt in its policies of free-of-charge providing the ordinary working people with new houses that would altogether cost hundreds of millions of dollars, of offering free education and school uniforms to all school children across the country, and can also be keenly felt in the resounding happy laughter of ordinary people and children from the spectacular recreational parks and grounds.
The persons who have been given free the Gyongru-dong terraced houses at Pothong riverside splendidly built under the warm love of the WPK, are all from ordinary working people who have worked at their revolutionary posts unassumingly with ardent patriotism, expecting no reward, regardless of whether they are acknowledged or not, regarding it their natural duty and honour; street cleaners, water supply and drainage workers, power-line builders, and streetcar drivers. They have become the owners of these luxury houses envied by everybody thanks to the steadfast idea of the WPK that hard work and patriotic conscience ought to be valued more than anything and people who have contributed to the country by working hard are entitled to enjoy the socialist civilization before anybody else.
The respected General Secretary's noble intention and will is to bring the happiest life as early as possible to the people who have overcome all sorts of trials and hardships along with the Party.
The construction of dwelling houses for the capital citizens, the construction of rural houses and the implementation of the "Regional Development 20×10 Policy" and other great, unprecedented construction projects and innovative successes are the proud fruition of the noble outlook on people and the people-first political idea of the Workers' Party of Korea which takes care of the destiny and future of the people in a responsible manner.
Today the WPK has been invariably preserving its revolutionary character as a motherly party devoted to the people and fulfilling its sacred mission before the people because it is led by the respected General Secretary
