It was September in 1948 when the First Session of the First Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK was held.
During the break of the session, a woman deputy was called by him unexpectedly.
He welcomed her and praised highly for having made a good opinion on the adoption of the constitution.

The Korean women lived in tears and pains amid all sorts of maltreatment and humiliation for a long time and had to lead a miserable life more than anyone under the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists. But now they emerge as masters of the country and get equal rights with men for the first time in the history of the nation spanning over 5000 years.
