Glorifying the honorable name-the eldest sons of the nation

There are working classes in every country, but there will be no such proud working class as the working class of the DPRK who has the most precious title of being the eldest sons of the nation and proudly glorifies its honorable name in the struggle for the development of the state.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Just as the eldest child empathizes with and supports his or her parents ahead of his or her siblings, so the working class, who are the eldest sons of the nation, should take the lead in translating the Party's intentions and demands into reality."

According to a Korean proverb, the eldest child should play the part of his or her parents.

It means that the eldest child, the eldest son has a heavy responsibility in the family.

"The eldest sons of the nation"-this honorable name given by our Party reflects the greatest trust in and expectations of the working class.

That is why the sacred course of struggle for implementing the decision of the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea was clearly associated with the proud feats of the working class of the DPRK who are adding lustre to its honorable name as the eldest sons of the nation, enthused with the single desire of loyalty.

On April 13, 2021, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Ko Kyong Chan, a hero work-team leader of the April 5 Pit at the Kumgol Mine under the Komdok Mining Complex, who presented a report of victory to the Party Central Committee by attaining earlier the mineral production plan for the first year of the implementation of the new five-year plan with a dynamic drive of loyalty to carry out the decisions of the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. The story really touched the heartstrings of all people.

Thanks to the benevolent care of our Party, who put forward the working class as the eldest sons of the nation so that the world will envy them, the working class continuously followed the proud road of advance, making breakthrough in the van of the struggle to usher in a new era of overall national prosperity.

On April 10, 2023, the workers of the Jagang Provincial Coal Mine of the Kaechon Area Coal Mining Complex, who left a clear mark in the history of our country by conducting a socialist patriotic movement for increased coal production in the 1970s, kindled the flames of the patriotic movement and the movement for increased production. This movement went into full swing throughout the country, dynamically pushing ahead with the struggle for 12 major points of national economic development.

On November 26, 2023, the respected General Secretary visited the Ryongsong Machine Complex where a dynamic struggle for carrying out the large compressor production task set forth by the Party was being waged. He highly appreciated the high spirit of the complex pulsating with the heroic tradition of devotedly implementing the Party's policies and named the fighting spirit displayed by the workers of the complex a new spirit of the times, the Chollima spirit of the new era, adding that the whole country should emulate the fighting spirit pioneered in the complex.

In 2025 marking the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea, the flames for miraculous increase in production kindled by the workers of the Sangwon Cement Complex who were deeply encouraged by the trust of our Party, flared up across the country, opening up a bright prospect for implementing the decision of the 8th Congress of the WPK.

Indeed, there is no such working class in the world as the Korean working class who is performing proud feats in the van of the times with the worthy call of being the eldest sons of the nation, sharing kinship with the Party.

Thanks to the loving care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the benevolent father who puts forward the workers as the eldest sons of the nation in the van of the Juche revolution and takes care of them with great love and trust, the working class of the DPRK will, in the future, too, creditably discharge their honorable mission and duty for the country and revolution and will write the most brilliant page in the history of the working class of the world.
