Under the benevolent care of the Workers' Party of Korea which regards attaching importance to the youth as the most important state affairs and strategic line of the revolution, many young people are glorifying their honorable life as heroes of the times and creators of feats.

"The proud decades of the victorious advance achieved by the Juche-oriented youth movement are associated with the priceless blood and sweat and heroic exploits of the young people who fought self-sacrificingly for the Party, the leader, the country and the people."
In the whole period from the very beginning of the Korean revolution to the present day, the Korean youth have performed distinguished heroic feats for the country and people as vanguard and shock brigade for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche, conforming their ideals and aspirations to the Party's plan at every period and stage of the revolution.
In particular, in the past ten years, many of young people who are faithful to the Party's ideas and will and steadfast in following the Party have become the pioneers and vanguard of the times.
A member of the Transportation Controlling Post of the Pyongyang City People's Security Bureau (then) was awarded the title of Hero of the DPRK, the highest honor of the citizen, as she had devoted herself to controlling the traffic of the capital city with high loyalty to the Party and the leader, thus displaying the noble spirit of devotedly defending the leader under emergency.
Bearing in mind the great trust of the great leader Comrade
With the faith and courage that they can lift even the earth if the Party believes them, they created a new heroic youth legend working hard in the extreme weather of northern part of the country for several years.
The sportspersons who won the victory at every international competition and flew the dignified national flag high in the sky of the world became youth heroes.
The respected General Secretary said that the sportspersons who flew the flag of the Republic by winning international games are genuine patriots and heroes, adding that they are the reliable sportspersons who defended the dignity and honor of the country and glorified it with brilliant success in the game.
Youth heroes were also produced among scientists who made a great contribution to demonstrating the national power of Juche Korea.
And the weaver girl of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, who performed vigorous labour feats with the firm decision to be a standard-bearer in the struggle for economic construction and the improvement of the people's living standard, was awarded the title of Labour Hero, the highest honor of the DPRK citizen, and many other young people have grown to be the heroic youth.
In addition, there are many excellent young people who devote themselves for the country, the people, the collective and comrades, responding to the call of the Party and the country in practice not in mere words.
Even at this moment, our young people are waging a great creative struggle to hasten the times in their fields and posts, bearing deep in mind the love and trust of the respected General Secretary who gave them a valuable honor of patriotic youth and heroic youth.
In the future, too, the Korean young people will always demonstrate the mettle and valor of youth at the vanguard of the times for the Party, revolution, country and people, firmly inheriting the tradition of patriotism and unity displayed by the preceding generations under the slogan "Let us unite on the strength of patriotism!" set forth by the Party.
