President Kim Il Sung's Immortal Exploits for the Accomplishment of the Cause of Global Independence

Chairman Kim Jong Il said:

"As a veteran of world statesmanship, the respected Comrade Kim Il Sung gave strength and confidence to the world's progressive people in their fight for independence, and made an imperishable contribution to the cause of human independence."

President Kim Il Sung put forward the original idea and theory of building an independent world which is free from domination, subjugation, aggression and interference and where sovereignty and equality are ensured for all the countries and nations, and wisely led the struggle to apply it to practice, thus performing immortal exploits for the achievement of the cause of independence for humankind.

Above all, he put forward the original idea of realizing global independence to indicate the most correct path for the world progressive peoples to follow.

The 20th century, a period of revolutionary changes, when the most acute and fiercest struggle was waged between progressives and reactionaries and between socialism and imperialism, demanded more urgently than ever the creation of a new scientific and revolutionary idea of the world revolution capable of correctly guiding the efforts to accomplish the cause of independence for mankind in keeping with the trend of the rapidly changing situation.

By gaining a scientific insight into the centuries-old requirement with great foresight, he clarified the original idea of realizing global independence in his different immortal classic works including "The Tasks of the People's Government in Modelling the Whole Society on the Juche Idea", a policy speech he made at the joint meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK on April 14 1982, thus making it possible for the world progressives to wage the struggle for accomplishing the cause of independence on a new high level more dynamically and in the most correct way.

As he advanced the idea, mankind came to have the scientific goal and correct ways to correctly shape its destiny for the first time in history spanning thousands of years and became able to wage a more dynamic struggle for realizing the cause of independence.

Like this, President clarified the idea and theory on global independence, thus performing immortal exploits of paving the way to victory for the world progressives fighting for independence.

President also wisely led the struggle for global independence so that the cause of independence for mankind could win victory after victory in the face of all trials and difficulties.

In the grim reality in which the world socialist movement was temporarily frustrated due to the moves of the imperialists and opportunists, he organized and led the struggle for defending and revitalizing the socialist cause, instilling conviction in the victory of the socialist cause, the cause of independence, into mankind, and guided the world progressive peoples to wage a dynamic struggle with the firm faith in sure victory.

He also wisely led the struggles for making a positive contribution to the cause of independence for mankind including that of the Non-Aligned Movement, thereby enabling the world progressive peoples to achieve greater successes in accomplishing the cause of independence, while resolutely foiling the moves of the imperialists and dominationists aimed at domination, interference, aggression and plunder.
