Having Agricultural Science Institutes Established In African Countries

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"The great Comrade Kim Il Sung was the most outstanding leader of the 20th century and a peerlessly great man."

20th century, the century which was unprecedented in the history of the struggle of people for the independence, was engraved with the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung, who led the cause of Juche revolution and the cause of making the world independent along the road of victory by dint of extraordinary wisdom and leadership, profound ideological and theoretical activity, and vast revolutionary practice.

The President clarified the stand of our Party that the African issue should be settled by relying on the strength of the African people to all intents and purposes, advanced concrete orientation and ways for the African people to dynamically accelerate the building of a new society under the banner of independence against imperialism, and rendered selfless support and all sincerity to them.

That is why the African people are warmly associated with the greatness of the President who made great efforts to establish agricultural science institutes in African countries to solve the food problem by developing agriculture on their own and to achieve economic independence.

In his speech "For the Agricultural Development of African Countries" at the Conference of the Ministers of Agriculture of East and West African Countries, taking part in a seminar of nonaligned and other developing countries on the increase in food and agricultural production on August 31, 1981, he said that they should establish agricultural science institutes and rapidly develop agricultural science and technology in African countries and took all measures.

At the meeting, the President said that agricultural science institutes should be organized in Tanzania and Guinea in East and West Africa, and that the agricultural scientists and technicians of our country, relevant countries and neighboring countries should jointly study and generalize the agricultural science and technology suited to the specific conditions of Africa. He continued that they build a test ground in other countries and develop the agricultural science and technology in accordance with the conditions of the country, adding that the DPRK would bear the necessary equipment and technical means for it and that if African countries were not able to train the agricultural technicians and technical personnel and cadres needed for the management and operation of the national economy on their own, the DPRK could do it for them.

Thanks to the warm care of President Kim Il Sung, agricultural science institutes were established in Tanzania and Guinea, which produced a great change in agricultural science research in the countries of the region and consequently a dramatic increase were brought about in agricultural production.

The President, who had agricultural science institutes set up in African countries and provided selfless support and took all kinds of measures, was the most prominent leader and peerlessly great man of the 20th century whom all people revered.
