President
The respected Comrade
"Comrade
On April 28, 1947, the President visited a saltern situated on the shore of Kwangryang Bay.
A gray-haired old man bent with age kneeled down and made deep bow to the President who provided him and others with the foundation of happy life. Before the liberation, they had been called "salter" and suffered from every kind of humiliation and insult.
The President hurried to help the old man to stand by holding his arms and affectionately said that he also had grandfather who still engaged in farming.
With soft smile, the President said he was quite willingly to meet the aged people like the old man at any time. He ardently said that a general was also none other than the son of the people and nothing could be as enjoyable as to meet the people.
It was the unanimous aspiration of the entire Korean people to admire and respect the President as their benevolent liberator and the father of the nation, who liberated the country and bestowed genuine freedom and rights on the people who had been deprived of their country.
However, there is no such a benevolent leader as the President, who bore in his mind the enormous exploits he achieved for the people and lived without being alienated from the people, saying that he was the son of the people.
