Blessed Flood Victims

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"It is our Party's and my own duty and steadfast resolve, first and foremost, to firmly defend our people, hold them in higher regard, and ensure that they lead a happy life with nothing to envy."

True to the great intention and plan of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, a struggle of gigantic creation is being waged to build a new place of happiness for the people in the flood-hit areas which had been turned into a sea by the wild weather. All the work of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government is concentrated on the campaign for restoring the flood-hit areas and the whole country is rising up in response to the call of the Party Central Committee. Under these circumstances, powerful construction forces of the People's Army have been deployed, regiments of Party members from all provinces of the country have been dispatched to the flood-hit areas and the reliable young people have rushed there with the oath to create another legendary myth of miracles.

From olden times, it has been said that there is something left after a fire but nothing after a flood. So, flood victims remind one of despair, torments and misfortune.

But on this land, there is no one unhappy in despair and sufferings, thanks to the great love of the father, who draws closer to the people, the harder the times are.

It is the greatest wish that our people cherish in their hearts to have the honor of personally seeing the respected General Secretary and hearing his voice. This ardent desire came true to the flood victims in Sinuiju City and Uiju County.

At the moment of disaster, when the flood was surging into their residential area, he stood at the rainy airport which could have been flooded at any time and commanded the rescue battle watching the pilots rescue the inhabitants in the urgent circumstance and despite unfavorable weather conditions from the beginning to the end. And he even waited for the last helicopter.

The people who owe him their lives couldn't have thanked him enough, even though they had knelt down and made a bow. However, he sent warm greetings to them first, which moved all of them to tears.

Because they were so excited and delighted to be living in the most benevolent bosom of the world and such a warm fatherly embrace.

After that, the flood-hit areas of Uiju County turned once more into a sea of tears and excitement. Despite the sultry weather in August, the respected General Secretary visited the tents where the flood victims were staying temporarily.

Because of the continuous summer heat, it was dripping with sweat even without moving at all. However, not taking any care of it, he personally turned the fan towards the people, saying that they must be suffering a lot from the hot weather. He sat knee to knee with them and acquainted himself with their living conditions one after another. He also grasped the hands of those who were trying to express their gratitude and comforted them over again.

The victims followed him step by step with regret of parting and he held them back and gave them a promise of love that he would come and see them again the following day.

The next day, they came by bus to a place not so far away from their tents and had another audience with the respected General Secretary, who welcomed them with a broad smile.

He said that he could not concentrate on his work thinking of them and that he couldn't relieve his anxiety even for a moment, although he had been told several times every day that they were all leading more or less a settled life. Listening to these affectionate words of him, they couldn't help being moved to tears.

Among them were those from Uiju County, who had the honor of meeting the respected General Secretary even two times.

The victims who met him and listened to his tender voice in person are now staying in Pyongyang under the state care, according to the crucial measures taken by the Party and the government. They are expressing their excitement saying that nowhere in the world can you find such happy people like themselves.

There is one thing, at which all the Korean people feel their heart warming up.

For the respected General Secretary, there could never be miserable fates or unhappy lives on this land, no matter how often unexpected disasters happen. And this truth is believed not only by the victims themselves, but also all the people over the country.

And this will lead to the eternal song in the praise of the Workers' Party of Korea and socialism.
