Valuable Praise to the Builders of Taegyedo Tideland

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"General Kim Jong Il was a peerless patriot; he loved his country and fellow people more ardently than anybody else did, and he devoted his whole life to achieving the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people. Thus he performed imperishable exploits that are etched in the history of the country."

The history of the revolutionary leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il who devoted his whole life to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people tells a memorable story about the efforts of the builders who completed the construction of the Taegyedo Tideland and thus presented a proud labor gift to the Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea(WPK).

The Taegyedo Tideland was built by blocking the sea off Yomju and Cholsan counties of North Phyongan Province of Korea on the basis of the far-reaching great nature-remaking plan by and on the initiative of President Kim Il Sung.

In order to translate the President's plan into reality, Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the Taegyedo Tideland Reclamation Site several times and gave detailed instructions on the directions and ways of construction one by one.

When he visited the Taegyedo Tideland in July 2010 he praised the workers for successfully completing the project by fully displaying the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude, but he mentioned nothing about his selfless devotion and efforts for the project of the tideland reclamation.

When he was told about the construction process of the Taegyedo Tideland, the area of which was equivalent to the whole area of arable land of a county, Chairman Kim Jong Il proudly declared that the Taegyedo Tideland was a great monumental creation in the era of the Workers' Party that rose up on the rough sea of the West Sea as well as a proud labor gift presented by our workers to the Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea to be held in September that year.

Actually, the builders could complete the tideland reclamation by conducting a general offensive day and night despite all difficulties and the bitter cold of winter thanks to the great love and trust of Chairman Kim Jong Il who visited the construction site in July a year ago and gave them indefatigable will and infinite mental strength, saying that he would come and see them again on the day of the completion.

Chairman Kim Jong Il said that this would be the greatest and most wonderful gift for the Party Conference, and gave special thanks to the builders of the North Phyongan Provincial Tideland Construction Complex who successfully completed the construction of the Taegyedo Tideland, and to their families and volunteers, and he highly praised it as his general appreciation of the builders of the Taegyedo Tideland as befits the descendants of President Kim Il Sung.

He gave a benevolent instruction that the grand-scale nature-remaking project like the construction of the Taegyedo Tideland was a miracle that could be done only by the descendants of President Kim Il Sung and the patriots and heroes who were boundlessly loyal to the Party and the revolution, that the builders of the Taegyedo Tideland should be well rewarded, and that the North Phyongan Provincial Tideland Construction Complex should be awarded Kim Il Sung Order adding that the Complex was well deserved to receive the Order for their merit of hard work.

Chairman Kim Jong Il, who led the building of another gigantic creation for the country and people with his infinite devotion and efforts, gave all the successes to the tideland builders and highly appreciated them.

Chairman Kim Jong Il is, indeed, a peerless patriot who devoted his whole life to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.
