What is important in the immortal exploits of the President who led the Fatherland Liberation War to the victory is that he set a brilliant example in the history of all-people resistance by equipping soldiers of People's Army and our people with burning patriotism and indomitable struggling spirits.
The victory in the Fatherland Liberation War is a brilliant one gained by ardent patriotism and indomitable struggling spirit of our soldiers of People's Army and people in name and reality.
In the past, our people had been harassed by ignorance and darkness, by poverty and penury and neglected as the roadside stones. The President made up such people as the owners of the country, factories and land, then with their sons and daughters, built up the army to defend the country. His unlimited benevolence made our soldiers and people fully understand the preciousness of the fatherland and the justness of their cause and let their patriotism having glowed in their hearts erupt into heroic spirit.
Bearing surging hatred and hostility against the US enemies, our soldiers blocked the enemy's pillbox with their chests at their blooming age to make a breach for units, pressed the trigger of heavy machine-gun with their chin to repulse the enemy, dashed into the enemy position carrying a bundle of hand grenades thus making enemies shudder and fought to the last to defend fortress.
Encouraged by heroic and sacrificial struggling spirit of valiant soldiers at the front, people behind the line rose up in the wartime production of food tilling field and planting seeds, produced weapons and bullets turning belts with their hands and ensured wartime transport operating trains and driving trucks until they were shot by bullets of hostile planes to breathe their last.
Those who had been so common and simple in workplaces and educational institutions at peacetime were intrepid and merciless like a lion when facing enemies and grew up to be the masters of grand heroic undertaking who performed any mission even beyond imagination if it was to defend the country. In addition, the country was seething with desperate resistance to defeat aggressors.
The President followed dangerous roads to the front during the whole period of war, saying that each soldier was a precious treasure who couldn't be bartered for anything and he had to visit anywhere they were.
The paternal love of him, who took every possible care of lives of soldiers anywhere he visited, centupled the spirit of defending the country in their minds and produced lots of well-known and unsung heroes who safeguarded every inch of the motherland with their blood and rushed forward to final decisive battles with loyalty-pledging letters to the Supreme Commander in their belts.
The President always directed deep attention to the people's lives despite the grim wartime situation and exempted the poor peasants from returning loan grain and the tax in kind. He also saw to it that schools for sons and daughters of deceased patriots were built for parentless children and strongly aroused the people behind the line to the wartime production taking benevolent actions for providing honorable wounded soldiers with social security and supplying helpless people with food and daily necessities free of charge.
Among the people greatly inspired by the warm love and devoted efforts of the President, indomitable struggling spirits like Kunjari revolutionary spirit were created and popular heroism was highly displayed to fight devoting their all only for the victory of the war while unyieldingly overcoming even arduous trials and heart-aching pains of sacrifice.
The do-or–die resistance of the army soldiers and people, who were brought up into the personifiers of burning patriotism and indomitable struggling spirit and creators of heroic feats in the bosom of the President, finally resulted in the brilliant victory in the Fatherland Liberation War which is called the confrontation between rifles and atomic bombs and recorded as the global model in the history of all-people resistance.
Surely, without President, there couldn't have existed the heroic Korean people and the prosperous Juche-oriented socialist country of the present day as well as the victorious day, July, and this is the unanimous thought of all the Korean people.
