Love for the People Accomplished in Drafting Regulation

 2026.4.1.

The Korean people still recall the boundless love of President Kim Il Sung for the people, who devoted his all to the interests of the people at any time and at any place, regarding it as his lifelong motto to believe in the people as in heaven.

Chairman Kim Jong Il said:

"From the first day of embarking on the road of the revolution, Comrade Kim Il Sung infinitely loved the people and found his pleasure in their happiness, devoting his all for their interests."

His immortal exploits tell a heart-warming tale about a law for ensuring and protecting the happy life of the people.

On January 25, 1953, when the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War was at its height, he called the forestry officials and gave his opinion on the draft regulations on the organization and management of the forest economy they had put forward.

He said that the law of the socialist state seems soft at first sight but it is not, and stressed that it is good to defend the law only when it is strong as hot pepper tastes good when cooked.

Saying that this should not mean preventing the peasants from cutting a tree or scratching even dead leaves in the mountains as they did during Japanese imperialist rule, he stressed the need to solve what should be done so that our law for the people should not make the people experience difficulties in their living and farming.

Officials were greatly excited by the warm care of the President, who was concerned to ensure that the draft regulations contribute to protecting the people's happy life with their interests at the first place of his consideration.

Indeed, the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung was the benevolent father of the people, who devoted his all to making the Korean people well-off without envy in the world, regarding it as his motto to believe in the people as in heaven throughout his revolutionary career.
