At that time, there wasn't a single technical document due to the destructive manoeuvres of the Japanese imperialists during their defeat, and the power station was operating with the help of a few remaining foreign technicians.
Saying that the Suphung Power Station was a lifeline and treasure of our industry and a precious asset in building a democratic, independent and sovereign state, he emphasized that the power station should be built as a strong power base of the country.
He continued, saying that the property of the precious people should be taken a good care of, he gave instructions on repairing the defective sectors of the power station and normalizing its operation by their own efforts.
He dropped in at the panel room to find out the foreign technicians who were mixed among the service personnel and asked the manager how many foreign technicians were present and if they were sent, he could not operate the power station.
The manager said that the Japanese imperialists did not teach the Korean people technology before liberation, so that our workers did not fully grasp the design and technical problems of the power station, so that it would be difficult to send them at once.
Looking round different places of the power station, the great leader said that we should train our technicians quickly and run the power station by our own efforts, and he also indicated specific directions and ways for training the technicians.
Before leaving the power station, the great leader earnestly told the manager that the Suphung Power Station should be operated by our own efforts as soon as possible by dynamically training technicians.

With this significant day, the Suphung Power Station was put on a new leap by relying on its own strong technical force and could successfully carry out its heavy duty as a great power base of the country.
