Love for an ordinary farmer girl

 2025.10.1.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"General Kim Jong Il gave prominence to the youth league and young people, and bestowed all the honour and glory on them."

The history of Chairman Kim Jong Il's leadership of the Korean youth movement in which he bestowed all the honour and glory upon the young people and showed boundless love for them has a heartfelt story that he highly appreciated the deeds of a farmer girl and gave her a bear's gall with concern for her health.

A conference of the Socialist Working Youth League of Korea (now the Socialist Patriotic Youth League) took place in Pyongyang in January 1996.

A girl who used to serve as a telephone operator of a department in Pyongyang and volunteered to work as a sub-workteam leader at the Thaephyong Cooperative Farm in Hyangsan County, North Phyongan Province in April 1995 was honored to participate in the meeting.

At the meeting, the great leader listened to the speeches of the delegates and praised her, saying that he knew her well and that she was such a praiseworthy girl.

In fact, it was less than a year since she volunteered to work in the countryside, and even before that time she had done nothing to be remembered by the great leader. All she did was to volunteer to the countryside to support the lifetime intention of President Kim Il Sung by contributing to a good harvest.

But when he saw her letter about leaving Pyongyang to work in the countryside, the great leader gave her an autograph saying that it was such a good intention and that she should be a respectable daughter of the Party.

Expressing thanks to the members of the Speed Campaign Youth Shock Brigade who presented to him a bear weighing 105 kg wishing his health, the great leader conferred a great favor, saying that the meat should be fed to the delegates of the LSWY conference including the exemplary youth sub-workteam leaders and innovators and that the bear's gall should be given to the sub-workteam leader of the Thaephyong Cooperative Farm in Hyangsan County, North Phyongan Province.

The great leader not only gave praises that she hardly deserved but also considered with a good care that the farmer girl, who was born in Pyongyang and had never caught a hoe or a sickle in her hands, was getting weaker doing hard farm work and serving as a sub-workteam leader and presented her a bear's gall. His attentive love was more than that of her parents indeed.

The story about the attentive care and love of Chairman Kim Jong Il to have an ordinary farmer girl in line with the exemplary youth who were bemedaled all over their chests for the feats that they performed in the youth shock brigade, coal mines and railway construction sites and to confer a tonic of love is told forever, touching the hearts of the Korean youth.
