Even A Small Eraser Tells The Fatherly Love

Chairman Kim Jong Il said:

"Comrade Kim Il Sung is the benevolent father of all our children and students and the great father of our people."

President Kim Il Sung loved the children most all his life and regarded the work for them as the most important affairs of our Party and state, devoting his all to them.

Even a small school thing shows his boundless love for our children.

On March 22, 1977, President Kim Il Sung, busy with the state affairs, looked at the school uniforms and things to be given to the schoolchildren all over the country as present one by one on the occasion of April 15.

Touching with his hand all the presents such as school uniforms, shoes and schoolbags placed on show by school type and sex, he praised them for their good quality and pointed out some shortcomings.

When the President found himself on the display stand for school things, an official told him that eraser production had already been organized as instructed by him, so its production was under way.

To tell the truth, there was some reason that the official told the President about the eraser issue.

Two days ago, President Kim Il Sung acquainted himself with the present production on the occasion of April 15. When he saw present details, he found that there was no eraser on the list of school things.

Immediately he sent an official the eraser he used personally and took measures to make the same erasers for schoolchildren and students all over the country.

The eraser sent by the President consisted of three parts ‒ red pencil-eraser on one side and blue ink-eraser for fountain pen or ball-point pen on the other side, and an eraser case joining these two erasers on both sides.

And the eraser case looked so smart and wonderful, for it was made of transparent plastic, with scales scored so as to measure length.

The officials, receiving the significant eraser with his instructions, immediately organized the eraser production.

Before the display stand for school things, hearing the official's report that the eraser production was in full swing, he said that one eraser was for erasing pencil marks and the other for erasing ink marks, and that it was very convenient to measure the length with it, for the eraser case had scale marks. He told him kindly that the eraser would be best for pupils at primary school, so they should make the same ones as the sample.

Again, he explained the good points of the rubber eraser to him, as if he didn't feel relieved, and stressed that the same erasers as the sample should be made.

Indeed, his instructions showed the love of the benevolent fatherly leader who wanted to give children everything in the world and the best thing in the world.

As mentioned above, even a small eraser, a part of the presents for children all over the country on the occasion of the significant April 15, was associated with the fatherly love of President Kim Il Sung who loved children most and gave priority to the work for them as the most important affairs of our Party and the state.
