Even for the Resources of the Underground

Chairman Kim Jong Il said:

"Under the motto, ‘The people are my God,' which he adopted when he was young, Comrade Kim Il Sung mixed with people, shared weal and woe with them and devoted his all for them, throughout his life."

The underground resources lie everywhere in Korea is associated with the greater efforts of President Kim Il Sung who let them to be used as valuable treasure for the prosperity of the country and happiness of the coming generation.

In December 1972, President visited the Geology room of Science and Research Exhibition Hall in State Academy of Sciences.

While he took a look at various kinds of boring materials, he held the alumite and said it's interesting and asked carefully about the elements in the alumite.

Its name "alumite" is called for its bright coloured aluminium mineral and it has elements like potassium, aluminium, sulphur and much more and used for important raw material of potassic fertilizer and aluminium production.

President said that it's the raw material for potassic fertilizer and it's in high demand among the farmers and we should give it a try and added that why didn't we start exploiting the alumite, such a mineral of great significance yet.

No one could answer. Because prospectors and researchers discovered the alumite but still its deposit amount were not assuring so they didn't go further for its exploitation in full scale with the worry about ending up wasting the expensive equipments and money.

Having heard of their worry, President said that they were hesitating in exploiting the mine and we should build it in pilot plant and then we industrialize it and build a factory.

President didn’t hesitate to take a lot of investment if it contributes to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the coming generation.

Indeed, under the energetic leadership and warm care of President, the resources buried down the underground for million years shined bright as the precious treasure.
