DPRK Glorifying its Dignity with Independence

Today the DPRK is glorifying its dignity as a country advancing along the road it has set, firmly adhering to the independent stand.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"We solve all problems arising in the revolution and construction in the interests of our people and in keeping with the specific situation in our country; we firmly adhere to revolutionary principles and the stand of independence in Party and state activities; and we proudly exercise our country's authority and influence as a dignified political power in the international political arena."

The DPRK is glorifying its dignity as the country dynamically advancing along the road of socialism without an inch of deviation despite the complicated international situation.

The secret is that it has maintained the revolutionary line of independence and the building of socialism by its own efforts as the invariable fundamental principle of state building.

Under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the DPRK has developed into a socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defense, regarding independence as its lifeblood and the fundamental cornerstone for state building and resolutely rejecting sycophancy, dogmatism and high-handedness and pressure of foreign forces.

The dignity of the DPRK developing by dint of independence is shining more brilliantly as the days go by thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

The DPRK is a political power which glorifies the sovereignty and dignity of the country and nation with independence.

In order to realize the sovereignty of a country and nation, the principle of independence should be applied in politics.

Even if there is a government, it cannot be said that a country which does not conduct independent politics and moves under the baton of others is, in fact, an independent and sovereign state.

Many countries are now advocating independent politics, but they are not an independent state in the true sense of the word.

Countries that are proud of their wealth and civilization and maintain their existence by changing their policies in submission to foreign forces can neither defend nor demonstrate their dignity and honor.

The DPRK has thoroughly defended independence under any circumstances with the great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as its sole guiding ideology, formulated all lines and policies in conformity with the requirements of the revolution, the specific situation of its country and the interests of its people and implemented them by relying on the strength of the Korean people.

The DPRK is an invincible power guaranteeing the independent national economy and powerful self-reliant defense capability with independence.

It is necessary to have its own strong assets to exercise the sovereignty of the state and promote sustainable development.

Without the economy which is on its own feet and the defense capability to defend itself, it is impossible to realize the independent politics and achieve the great cause of the building of wealthy country with a powerful army.

It is not easy to achieve the independent development of the state in the face of the desperate moves of the imperialists seeking hegemony.

Though they know that it is a just and worthwhile road to live by themselves, many countries fail to take the road because they lack the will to overcome the challenges and difficulties they face by their own efforts.

The DPRK has provided the foundation for independent national economy, thus having a solid foundation for guaranteeing the sovereignty of the country and ensuring its sustainable development.

It is a bitter lesson drawn by the Korean people in the history of the stateless nation that they can never defend their destiny without strong military power.

The Korean people have laid a powerful military foundation guaranteeing the sovereignty of the country and the prosperity of the nation through an indomitable struggle, spared no cost and tightening their belts, though the situation was so difficult.

Historically, the attack of the imperialists and dominationists was focused on the DPRK holding high the banner of independence, but the Korean people rushed ahead without stopping even a moment despite challenges and pressure which others could hardly bear, building a self-defensive military capability no one dares to overlook.

The prospect of the DPRK, a dignified socialist state, steadily developing on the solid foundation of independence, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defense is bright.

The Korean people are proud of having independently paved the road of revolution according to their faith and solved all problems by their own efforts with their own independent views.

The Korean people will, in the future, too, surely build a socialist power envied by the whole world on this land by their own efforts, holding higher the banner of independence.
