The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

The might of self-reliance and self-development consistently emphasized by the WPK in the socialist construction is based on the solid foundation of science and technology.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has set forth the grand plan for developing the country's science and technology is always leading the scientists and technicians with warm love and care for them to implement the Party's ideas and intentions.
One day on June Juche 104 (2015), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited a research institute and gave warm love and deep trust to the scientists.
The institute is a scientific research and production base assigned a task to put the production on an industrial basis by the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il who gave seeds for research to the scientists and examined their experimental products.
That day the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that he was so pleased with report that the institute studied and completed Korean-style products and laid a foundation for putting production on a normal footing in an industrial way that he visited the institute to have a close look on the spot.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed satisfaction over the fact that the institute had succeeded in developing the product of the 21st century and the production technology as well for mass production on a highly germ-free, dust-free and unmanned basis and others monopolized by only a few developed countries in the world, showing that the DPRK proudly reached the highest level of cutting-edge science and technology. He also stressed the need for the institute to build a solid material and technical foundation for the production so as to immediately double its output and to meet the demand of the whole country in a long-term.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that he was very pleased to meet the patriots who were making a silent journey for carrying out the behests of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, working faithfully in others' presence or behind their back and that those scientists who are devoting their whole lives to researching and developing cutting-edge technology, bearing deep in mind that scientific research accompanied continuous trials is for the country and the people.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was so satisfied with the scientists who had created a wonderful gift dedicated to the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea with a single mind to become genuine scientist devotedly serving the country and people that he said he wanted to carry them on his back and give them everything in the world. And he invited with great loving care the officials and scientists who had contributed to the development of cutting-edge technology and industrialization of the product as the special guests to the commemoration event of the Party founding on October the 10th.
The scientists and technicians, looking up to his benevolent image, were filled with boundless happiness in the bosom of the great teacher and father.
He warmly said that he was lucky to meet the scientists who were devoting their whole lives to carrying out the behests of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung and the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il. He praised them for achieving a proud success in developing the products of the 21st century highly efficient for the economic development with no negative impact on human body, soil and ecological environment badly needed for the economic development of the country and had a memorial photo taken with them.
The scientists and technicians could not refrain from shedding tears.
It was a moving picture of the warm love and care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who attaches importance to science, values the talents of science and technology and gives prominence to them.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un lovingly praised the scientists devoting themselves to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people as the true patriots.
It was the most valuable love and trust that none other than our scientists and technicians could enjoy.
How blessed are our scientists who are conducting scientific research under such benevolent care.
It is the steadfast will of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to dynamically advance the economic construction of the country by dint of Juche-oriented science and technology with the scientists and technicians as the core forces of the revolution.
Today the scientists and technicians are fully determined to steadily create new miracles and victories startling the world people by fulfilling their responsibility and role as the pacesetter of the era of the knowledge-based economy true to the teaching of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un that science and technology are the engine driving socialist construction and the main developing force of national economy in the report to the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea on the work of the Central Committee.
