To Provide Better Ceramics For The People

All the Korean people ardently long for and have great reverence for President Kim Il Sung, a peerlessly great sage and great father of the Korean nation.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Comrade Kim Il Sung's was a noble life of a people's leader, who regarded ‘The people are my God' as his motto, applied it to his ideas and leadership and turned it into reality."

Many stories are told about the legendary love of the President, who devoted everything to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people all his life. And among them is the one that is associated with Kyongsong Ceramics Factory.

He visited the factory on March 13, 1959.

He dropped in at the raw material mixing workshop, the first production process, and saw how the machines worked and looked at the raw materials carefully to learn in detail about the production field, deposit and quality of feldspar and silica, the main raw materials of ceramics. He then went to the sorting workshop to pick up one of the plates and said that the quality of the products got better, but they were still not thin enough in thickness, not white enough in colour, nor regular enough in size, which altogether led to poor quality. He gave detailed instructions on how to improve the quality of the ceramics, including the necessity of intensifying the ideological education of the workers and check the quality of products strictly and added that the quality of the products could be improved if the workers were really determined to make beautiful ceramics.

He continued that people demanded better and better ceramic ware, and therefore, thinner and more beautiful ceramics should be made and their quality improved to the top level. He also said Kyongsong area should be turned into the country's leading producer of ceramics and that Kyongsong should be famous for ceramics.

On May 13, 1961, he visited the factory again and clearly indicated the ways to bring about a remarkable improvement in the quality of the products by transferring to multiple moulding method, saying that it was necessary to go into the production of thinner and better-looking hard ceramics.

After that, he sent two trucks to the factory as gifts, arousing the workers of the factory to increased production of fine hard ceramics and supply it to the people as soon as possible.

Under the wise leadership and the loving care of President Kim Il Sung, Kyongsong Ceramics Factory, which had only produced bricks before liberation, turned into a modern factory with a strong foundation to produce the goods at will which they can be proud of both at home and abroad.

This is inconceivable apart from the devotion and painstaking efforts of the President who did everything he could for people, regarding it as his motto to believe in the people as in heaven all his life.

Indeed, President Kim Il Sung is a tender-hearted father of the people who devoted his all to the people, regarding it as his lifelong theory and motto to believe in the people as in Heaven.
