Warm Paternal Affection Bestowed on the Children And Students in the Flood-Hit Areas

The long journey of devotion made by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the people, regarding them as his god, tells about a story of the warm affection he bestowed on the children and students in the flood-hit areas.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"True to the intentions of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who treasured and loved the rising generations and the future, we should bring them up into excellent people and make them the happiest in the world. We have nothing to spare for the good of our children who will be the masters of the country in the future."

In late July 2024 heavy rains and flooding hit some areas in the city of Sinuiju and Uiju County in North Phyongan Province, afflicting many people in these areas.

What the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was most concerned with after having the flood victims rescued and their living stabilized was the issue of nursing and educating the children of the flood victims.

In August 2024, when he met the flood victims, he said: The biggest bottleneck until your living conditions are stabilized after the housing construction is over is the living and studying conditions for the children; the nursing, edification and education of the children and students are the most important of all state affairs, and must never be abandoned even if the sky were to fall in. So, we are going to put in place an emergency system whereby, during the recovery work, all the affected children and students of the flood victims will come and stay in Pyongyang, where they will be provided with a safe and comfortable environment for their care and education, entirely at state expense.

He called the flood victims to Pyongyang and on August 15, he went to April 25 Hostel. In the speech he made welcoming them, he said to children that he welcomes them.

When he visited their dining hall, the children unreservedly moved into his arms. Warmly embracing them, he said that they should take foods heartily and grow up healthily to become happy children adding to the laughter of their families and country.

On August 16, next day, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the April 25 Hotel again to learn about the preparations for education of the students.

He saw a demonstration class of primary school pupils, and acquainted himself in detail with the provision of educational equipment and school fixtures and saw school things for the pupils. At a resting site at the hostel he met the schoolchildren from the flood-hit areas, who were provided with the new school uniforms and school things.

He said he was very pleased to see the cheerful children in new school uniforms, adding that the children's laughter is the dynamic breath and vibrant spirit of the advancing country and a symbol of the mightiness of the Korean-style socialism. He wished them a happy future.

For him, the real national disaster was not only the damage done to the economic sector but also the children's losing of their opportunity to continue to learn and laugh due to the disaster, and the nursing, edification and education of the children and students were the most important of all state affairs, which must never be abandoned even if the sky were to fall in.

Under his warm affection and benevolence, the April 25 Hostel reserved for providing conditions for meetings and other national ceremonies turned into a campus with the best educational conditions and educational environment. And thousands of children and students could study to their heart's content for 130 days, leading a lively and cheerful life as special guests.

As he embraces all the children across the country and provides them with all happiness, sound of their cheerful reading will always resound, guaranteeing the eternal future of the country.
