The Legend of Love for the People Told by the Special Plane

 2026.8.11.

When we say a special flight, people often think of it as a special plane for an important state delegation. However, in the sky of socialist Korea, where selfless, devoted efforts for the people are the mode of existence of the Workers' Party of Korea and the source of its invincible strength, special planes are flying for the people.

Chairman Kim Jong Il said:

"Comrade Kim Jong Un enjoys support and love from the people for his excellent qualifications and personality as the leader of the revolution, the leader of the people, and the world people recognize and admire it."

Though many years have passed since the first plane flew in the sky, the heartwarming story of a country's leader sending a special plane for ordinary working people is a legend of love for the people which can be brought into bloom only in socialist Korea centered on the popular masses. Among the legendary stories is a story about the love of the peerlessly great man for the triplets of Samjiyon City, which has turned into a sacred place of the revolution and a model of a modern mountain town at the foot of Mt. Paektu.

One day in April 2019, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, while giving an on-the-spot guidance to Samjiyon County (the then) in Ryanggang Province in the northern part of the DPRK, visited triplet sisters who had just moved into a newly-built house.

The triplet sisters, who had always wanted to see the respected General Secretary, were so happy that they shed tears of emotion when they met him.

Warmly shaking hands with the triplets, who respectfully bowed to him, the respected General Secretary said that he was pleased to hear that they really liked their new house, and asked them about all aspects of their livelihood with parental affection.

The triplets told the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who was taking care of their life in the new house with parental affection, all about how they volunteered to move to Samjiyon from the capital city of Pyongyang without hesitation.

The respected General Secretary listened to their story to the end, and highly appreciated the deeds of the triplets devoting their pure conscience to the development of the Paektu area after leaving their dear birthplace. Then he told them to write to him when they got married. And then he had a photo taken with them to be handed down generation after generation.

Later the triplet sisters wrote letters to the respected General Secretary to tell him that they met good men to marry. When he read their letters, he took a measure to arrange a special plane to send his affectionate gifts to their wedding. The triplet sisters were so moved by the loving care of the respected General Secretary that they said the words of thanks again and again; the respected General Secretary had given them credit for having done what they ought to do with a single intention of repaying his care, and even sent a special plane to give them gifts to be kept in their lifetime. They had grown up under the warm care of the motherly Party from the time before they were born.

This love was not only for the triplets of Samjiyon City.

In Juche-oriented socialist Korea, which holds the respected General Secretary in high esteem as their father, who orientates and subordinates everything to the people, special planes for the people will always fly in the blue sky of the country.
