The Source of Infinite Power of Juche-Oriented Science

Chairman Kim Jong Il said:

"Our officials should respect the scientists and technicians with a view and attitude of attaching importance to science and technology in deeds, not just in words, and give a positive impetus and assistance to their research work."

Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the State Academy of Sciences in January, 1999, for his first new year on-the-spot guidance.

Greeted by the officials, he made a bow to the statue of President Kim Il Sung and went round the institutes including the newly built electronic engineering base and maths institute to get informed in detail on their scientific research.

He expressed great satisfaction over our scientists' and technicians' successes greatly contributive to the development of science and technology of the country.

When he noticed the researchers looking into monitor for long time in a research room, he expressed worries it would spoil their eyesight.

A researcher stood up and said politely that it was all right.

However, Chairman Kim Jong Il told the officials to take measures as it was bad for eyes.

This is just one of the stories of the warm love and trust of Chairman Kim Jong Il for the scientists.

Indeed, there was no end to his love for our scientists and technicians.

Since then, 19years later in January 2018, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the State Academy of Sciences despite the January cold and gave great love and trust to them.

He said that he had felt very satisfied with the report of the officials of the relevant units during his on-the-spot guidance that miraculous successes were owing to the devoted efforts of the scientists of the Academy and that our Party is so powerful as the reliable masses of scientists strongly support its policy and devote their all to its implementation.

He expressed his belief and expectation that the scientists will always bear deep in mind the Party's intention and contribute to the building of a prosperous country by brilliant scientific successes with high ambitions and goals.

The benevolent love and trust of the great leaders and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un regarding the scientists as the standard-bearers of the times is the source of great power of Juche-oriented science and of creating world-startling miracles.
