Pointing out the contents and some details of the film, he said:

The film depicts in the first part that the schoolgirl, on her way to and from school, envying the children living in high-rise apartment houses. Then in the last part she is enrolled at the University of Sciences and lives in a high-rise apartment house, on the veranda of which she recalls her childhood.

But the main contents of the film do not emphasize her feelings about the house.

Instead, the film goes on with the girl having resentment at her father not returning home soon after his business trip to a distant place. Therefore, the relations between the girl and her father look artificial and belittled.

After that, Chairman Kim Jong Il presented his idea, saying:

For example, the father, a section chief at the State Academy of Sciences, is given by the academy a flat at high-rise apartment house before others, but he concedes it to another researcher, shattering her childhood dream.

Then she will misunderstand her father and will be more dissatisfied with him.

The more she misunderstands him, the more impressive the scene will be when she understands him.

Hearing his idea, the officials could not help but make an exclamation.

It was an unusual idea and discovery. If the details of why the certificate of using the flat was given to another were included in the film along with the girl's dissatisfaction with her father for not coming home now and then, the audience would understand why her father looks engrossed only in his work and does not know the worth of life and lacks humanity. This, along with the scenes depicting her classmates repairing the chimney of her house, her father making coal briquettes for his ill fellow researcher and the girl finally understanding her father, would make a dramatic sequence. It would be also good for social education, and the film could become a masterpiece.

In this way, Chairman Kim Jong Il presented a brilliant idea of linking the beginning and the end of the film in a unified and dramatic way and depicting the personality and life of the heroine vividly and realistically by means of the detail, helping the creative workers to make the film into a masterpiece.
