Seeing the cheerful students who grow up healthily to be the masters of the future studying hard at the schools that have changed beyond recognition, Korean people foresee the promising future of the country that will be prosperous by dint of education.
Then, what sorts of impressive stories lie in the bottom of this proud reality of their country?
One day in February 2017, the respected Comrade
Looking round several places of the school with his great satisfaction to see that it was built into the warm cradle of orphaned children to live and learn, the respected General Secretary gave detailed instructions on education for them. He said that it was the important state affairs to put the field of education on a modern basis and improve the quality of education as well as the strategic work related to the future of the state.
Officials were deeply impressed with his instruction.
Because it made them think of their old-fashioned attitude. Saying that they gave top priority to education all the time, but they failed to set it as the first of the state affairs to modernize the field of education and improve the quality of education, simply regarding it as technical work.
A few minutes later, he said that nothing should be neglected about education, even if it was a trifle thing, and that it was necessary to establish a habit and a discipline of giving first priority to education on a nationwide scale, which was demanded by the Party and the revolution.
The demand of the Party and the revolution! His instruction that day served as a precious guideline for them to keep it in mind that education was indeed the most important affairs of the Party and the state.
