Noting that the following day was an international women's holiday, he extended the warmest congratulations and honour on behalf of the KPRA headquarters to the female soldiers, the vanguard fighters of Korean women and the flowers of the KPRA.
In a moment a thunderous applause burst out in the venue.
He went on to speak highly of the exploits of female fighters who struggled to procure weapons in the period of organizing the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army, volunteered in the guerrillas' cooking section, established people's revolutionary government in guerrilla bases along the Tuman River, enforced democratic reforms including the gender equality with great revolutionary enthusiasm and in particular performed world-startling feats in the defense battles for the guerrilla bases.
Emphasizing that Korean women's exploits in the social liberation struggle for women deserve being publicized to the world, he noted that the female fighters including Ri Kye Sun, Kim Hwak Sil, Ma Kuk Hwa and Ho Song Suk who died a heroic death in the van of the liberation struggle of the Korean people would be remembered forever in the history of the fatherland as the flowers of the Korean revolution as well as pride of the KPRA and models of Korean women.
He also reiterated that since the social inequality, contempt and maltreatment of women are the products of class society and the women's liberation could only be ultimately achieved by eradicating the Japanese colonial rule and feudal vestiges which serve to generate all sorts of social evils and building a new society, a socialist system, the masters of which are our people.
He also noted that the women's international day should be an occasion to establish a new concept and viewpoint towards women and enthusiastically called upon to build a new society where women, equal to men, can exercise the right of genuine masters of the society by devoting their life to the historical cause of women's liberation.
The female fighters were so moved and excited that they couldn't hold back tears.
