The boundless love of the President for the people can be found in the moving story in which he cared for the life and safety of the workers.

He warmly greeted the factory officials and said in delighted tone that he would visit the production sites as they had reconstructed and started the production.
With their patriotic enthusiasm, the factory workers and technicians tried to restore it which was completely destroyed by Japanese imperialists for nearly six months, but only one carbide furnace had been rebuilt at that time.
President went to the work site where the carbide furnace was situated.
The work site was engulfed with the clouds of carbide smoke and acrid gas smell and the liquid of the carbide poured out of the carbide oven when the workers burst open it.
Looking at this sight, President said sadly that before liberation, the Japanese imperialists exploited the Koreans without paying attention to the health and safety of the workers and in our society where the workers became masters of the country, we should put precedence to the health and safety of the workers.
Then he continued that we should mechanize and automate production processes in order to protect the health of workers against harmful gas, while there should be a hospital at the factory.
He said that we should build the hospital in a nice manner and conduct the regular check-up for the workers so that treatment measures could be undertaken.
He visited several sites of the factory and before leaving, he clarified his idea to convert the factory to a comprehensive base of chemical industry, earnestly saying that all officials should pay special attention to the safety of the workers.
