As the base for Juche-oriented education for normalizing enterprise management

Chairman Kim Jong Il energetically led the work to build the base for education for normalizing enterprise management in order to apply President Kim Il Sung's idea and theory on the management of the socialist economy into the education and practice of the economic management and to further develop it true to the trend and requirements of the times.

Chairman Kim Jong Il said:

"The University of the National Economy should step up the education for normalizing enterprise management. To this end, the rooms for the branch-specific study of the national economy should be well equipped."

The great General wisely led the University of National Economy to have rooms for the branch-specific study of the national economy well equipped and thus to discharge its responsibility as the base for Juche-oriented education for normalizing enterprise management both in name and in reality.

The great General himself organized and led the work to set up the rooms for the branch-specific study of the national economy at the university as intended by the great Leader.

The great Leader, in his address "On Improving Educational Work to Regularize Management of Enterprises" delivered at the commemoration of the 20th founding anniversary of the University of National Economy on June 30th, Juche 55(1966), put forward the policy on strengthening the practical education for the students to acquire how to manage the enterprise through actual practice.

The great Leader defined it as the most important duty of the university to strengthen the education for normalizing enterprise management and put forward the task to create necessary means and conditions.

The great General organized and led the work to set up the rooms for the branch-specific study of the national economy at the university in order to fully implement the policy set forth by the great Leader on improving the education for normalizing enterprise management.

The great General led the university to make the molds, relief maps and models move like real as the main task for the students to practice management in a convenient way and to show the students the right and the wrong management of the enterprise in a comparative way.

He also led them to make all the teaching instruments of the rooms for the branch-specific study of the national economy in such a way as to teach the students the party policies and theories on economic management, and the managing methodology and practice and to make an effective use of them in the education for normalizing the enterprise management.

For example, he saw to it that the room for studying machine industry be built in such a way as to help the managers acquire the principled technical knowledge of the machines and equipments and the leading manner of the managing officials, that the room for studying statistics be built in order to properly set up the system of the initial calculation, measuring and surveying to ensure statistical accuracy and to systematize it for the managers to examine the stock of raw materials and indexes including cost prices and analyze any change in them on a daily basis, thus contributing to the practical education for managing the enterprise in a scientific and rational way, and that the study room of Taean work system for the students to have a clear understanding of its essence and requirements and apply them to the practice of economic management.

Thanks to the scrupulous leadership of the great General the rooms for the branch-specific study of the national economy including those for studying machine industry and statistics were built as a perfect center for combining theoretical practical education and thus training the students to be able managing officials.

The great General wisely led the university to set up the rooms for the branch-specific study of the national economy in such a way as to base them on the Juche-oriented idea and theory on economic management and to conduct education in reality true to the trend of the times and the requirements of reality.

On April 3rd, Juche 75(1986) the great General initiated reequipping the study rooms with electronic elements as required by the party policy and the trend of the scientific and technical development and took measures to provide necessary materials, building labor and technical officials prior to others.

When the construction of the building and the set-up of the internal facilities were completed, the great General, though being busy leading the overall preparation of the 13th World Youth and Students Festival, visited the university with the great Leader in mid-June, Juche 78(1989), looked around various study rooms and gave the university precious instructions to hold on to in its educational work.

This day, the great general, in company with the great leader, gave many valuable instructions on education at the university.

Looking round the room for studying power industry, he taught them that it was important for the university, as an important foundation for normalizing enterprise management, to teach the students not only the theory and principle in the scientific research but also methodology to solve the problems arising in reality.

And in the study room of machine industry he said that a party official with expertise in the relevant field would do better his party leadership over the administrative and economic work, and in the study room of planning national economy, he emphasized the importance of adhering to the socialist nature of planned economy.

When he entered the Taean work system studying room, the great general emphasized the importance of teaching the essence and advantages of the Taean work system since it is better to organize the party workers of specific economic branches as the specialists. And he said that it is vital to maintain the socialist characteristics of the planned economy when he was looking around the national economy planning room.

He went on to look around the study rooms of statistics and putting management on a scientific basis and stressed that the economic officials should learn well the statistics and the method of analyzing the enterprise management in order to render scientific guidance to the production, explore more reserve to gain more economic output from less expenditure and minimize the cost prices by enhancing the labour efficiency. He also said that it was needed to introduce the computer network system to managing and running the factories and enterprises in our country and clarified principled issues to consider in applying it.

In this way, thanks to the scrupulous guidance and care of the great General, the University of National Economy could consistently perform its education to normalize the national economic management and enterprise management without any slightest vacillation even in the hard and complex situation of the 1990s within and without.

The Juche-oriented idea and theory on the management of the socialist economy created by the great Leader and enriched by the great General have been inherited by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un with credits and applied to the education and practice of the economic management, fully displaying their validity and vitality in the current struggle for building an economic power.
