Although there are many mausoleums, memorial halls and sanctuaries around the world that hand down the historic exploits of heads of state and great persons, there is none like the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the grand monumental edifice dedicated to the immortality of the leaders in which the peerlessly great men are preserved in their lifetime appearance and which is sublime and flawless in its content, style and scope.
The noble sense of moral obligation of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to hold President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in high esteem for all ages can be found in every place in the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:
"We should, in a display of utmost devotion and enthusiasm, build up the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun to give it a most solemn appearance, as befitting the supreme sanctuary of Juche, and ensure that the work of portraying President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il as the images of the Sun is done at the highest level."
The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state, displays the historic boat used by Chairman Kim Jong Il when visiting the people and service personnel all his life.
The historic boat depicted as sailing through the blue sea at its maximum speed without resting even for a moment and this also shows the noble world of loyalty of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to hold Chairman Kim Jong Il in high esteem.
The boat "Chungsong" used by Chairman Kim Jong Il till the last moments of his life was the one which had been built long ago, so the officials tried to build a new ship several times.
But whenever they tried, Chairman Kim Jong Il declined their offers and used the same boat for over 30 years.
There was a story that one day in January 2010, the boat was turned into an iceberg in the fierce storm, and all the sailors barely opened the door of the office room where Chairman Kim Jong Il was.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made a plan to move this boat to the palace which was telling the patriotic devotion of Chairman Kim Jong Il and taught the ways to do it.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the spot more than 40 times in 2012 alone and gave detailed guidance to it. Giving precious instructions over 150 times, he wisely led the reconstruction to lay out in the most magnificent fashion the interior of the palace and the area around it.
Thanks to his energetic leadership, the boat "Chungsong" used by Chairman Kim Jong Il was transferred to the conservation room of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun where the great leaders lie in state.
In November 2012, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un dropped in at the hall where the boat was exhibited and said that it was a good thing to have the boat brought to the palace and that the ship had been floating in the sea some days ago, but it was at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun where he lies in state. And he warmly said that all the problems arising in renovating the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where the great leaders lie in state, into the sacred temple of Juche, have been solved by exhibiting this boat.
It is said that everything has its drawback but it is the immutable creed of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un that there should never be a slight flaw in the work of holding Chairman Kim Jong Il in high esteem for all ages.
Indeed, the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun has been perfectly renovated into the sacred temple of Juche which can hand down the unparalleled greatness, the glorious revolutionary history and the immortal exploits of the great leaders thanks to the energetic leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
