International Symposium was held at Kim Il Sung University

The Kim Il Sung University International Symposium was held on August 27 on the theme of "Independence, Equality and Regional Development".

It was attended by officials, professors and researchers of Kim Il Sung University and scholars of the institutions of education, scientific research and cultural exchange from Russia and China.

To the symposium, held in sections of socio-political science, economics and humanities, were presented dozens of papers with such academic value and practical significance as to contribute greatly to the social progress of the humanity.

"The Essence and Characteristics of the revolutionary idea of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un", "On our Party's policy for the regional development" and other papers presented by the professors and scholars of Kim Il Sung University gave an in-depth academic proof of the scientific accuracy and truthfulness of the great revolutionary ideas of the respected Comrade

Kim Jong Un which is demonstrating its tremendous vitality in the revolutionary struggle and construction and those of the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea which threw light upon the course to advance for the all-round development of the Korean-style socialism.

"Adhering and developing the national cultural tradition is an important requirement facing the countries and nations aspiring for the peaceful new world" and other papers stressed the important role of the national cultural tradition in intensifying the friendship and cooperation, unity and solidarity among all the peace-loving people of the world.

"The new changes in the international economic situation and the future of the cooperation in the east-Asia region", "The creative groups, the means for the regional development in Russia" presented by the scholars of Jilin University of China and Lomonosov Moscow State University and other papers introduced the means and methods for the effective economic growth of today when the globalization of economy is more and more accelerated.

Some papers dealt with the theoretical and practical issues arising in developing the friendly Korea-China relations on the principle of equality and mutual benefit.

The participants shared the valuable results of the research in socio-political science, economics, history, law, international relations, literature and many other study areas and exchanged the views and opinions about the issues of common interest.

The Kim Il Sung University International Symposium was a significant event in promoting the friendship and solidarity of the nations and developing the academic exchanges and cooperation between the universities and scientific research institutions of many countries.
