Kim Mi Rae, a Ryongnamsan Sports Team diver, won a gold medal in the woman 10-meter-platform individual event at the 8th Asian Cup Diving Competition and qualified for the 32nd Olympic Games.
In this competition which took place in Malaysia from September 5 to 8 participated the best men and women players from 10 countries including the DPR Korea, China, Singapore, Uzbekistan and etc.
Kim Mi Rae, a Ryongnamsan Sports Team diver, who had already emerged victorious in the several international games, came off with flying colors in this competition, too.
Encouraged by the self-confidence and courage, Kim Mi Rae, who participated in the woman 10-meter-platform individual event, splendidly performed high-degree technical moves by displaying her physical and technical ability to the full extent which gained through vigorous training; thus won the first place in this event and achieved glorious success of obtaining qualification to enter the Olympic Games which is only given to the winners.
She also took part in the team play of this competition. Performing technical moves satisfactorily she won a silver medal in this event.
