The Most Intensive Forced March of Field Guidance

 2020.10.2.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said.

"Though he devoted his all throughout his life to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people, he left nothing for himself. He was on the most intensive forced march, taking not a moment's rest, until he breathed his last on a moving train. Such a leader has never been witnessed anywhere in the world."

If asked when the word "forced march" first appeared, nobody would be able to answer confidently. However, anybody who lives on this land would know that the period when it was used the most was the era of Chairman Kim Jong Il. The historical term "forced march" was clearly created by the Chairman.

Terms that had never been found on any linguistic dictionaries in the past, such as arduous march, forced march, march of on-the-spot guidance, mid-summer forced march, forced march of blizzards, forced march by train, the most intensive march and partisan-style forced march, have been created by the Chairman who continuously went on a rigid and harsh way of ordeals for the safety and happiness of the people.

The field operation office of the Supreme Command and the mobile office room, a field kitchen and a fire of twigs, short naps and rice balls, forced march exposed to fierce blizzards blocking the sight and the mid-summer forced march in the scorching sun, midnight forced march, on-the-spot guidance to over 10 units in a day are the heart-touching words symbolizing his humble and sacrificing field life and the mobile protean partisan-style movements to be heard in the war, all of which were created in the days of his field guidance to protect and create the well-being of the country and the people during the Arduous March.

These historical terms remind us of the solemn looks of the Chairman who went on his field guidance day and night for the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people. He kept himself warm with only a single field padded clothes in cold winter and wet himself in sweat in mid-summer.

The appearance of the Chairman who devoted his whole life to the country and the people saying that even if they died working hard that way, their names would be remembered by the country and the people, will always be in our people's memory with the passage of time.

Throughout his revolutionary life, Chairman Kim Jong Il travelled over 669,844km which is equal to the distance turning round the earth 17 times, visiting over 14 290 units.

Of them, the number of units he visited during the Arduous March totals more than 12,790 and the distance covers over 629,992km.

There are a lot of countries and so are many leaders. But nowhere can be found such a great man who worked hard day and night with ardent love for the people in his heart and carried out the revolution with burning enthusiasm.

With the creative zeal hotter than fire and more active than volcano, the Chairman travelled thousands of kilometers and guided a lot of factories and enterprises across the country in a day and went back one thousand ri that night to provide people with a spark of creation.

The forced march exposed to blizzards towards Jagang Province to create the spirit of Kanggye which was the era's powerful ideological and spiritual driving force of creation and construction and the mid-summer forced march to improve the key industries such as Hungnam Fertilizer Plant and the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex tell people countless touching stories about the creative passion possessed by the Chairman. Every tree and grass there is the living witness itself.

Without a sense of great passion and without a great heart and soul of creation, it is impossible to carry out such forced march beyond human imagination.

His words while visiting the Russian Federation in Juche91(2002) still touches a string in our hearts.

When the suite asked him not to work too hard on that visit, he simply smiled and answered that if he, a son of partisan, did not live and work in a partisan way with its spirit, it meant he had changed.

He continued that therefore, that visit should be paid in a partisan and field style, in which they would not stay at the luxurious and comfortable guesthouse but in the train and at night, travel to the destination and during the day, visit the units without any rest, emphasizing that only when, he would feel satisfied and worthwhile in life.

Such a great man was he.

He spent his whole life in this way. Particularly during the Arduous March he went on a partisan-style forced march feeling as if one day were hundred and thousand days.

Korean people are earnestly saying from the bottom of their hearts that his whole life was that of loyalty, patriotism, sacrifice, struggle and a life full of hardships totally intended for the well-being of the people.

There is a single word that can replace this endless list of expressions, which is a life of burning heart.

One day, feeling an irresistible yearning for him, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the life of Chairman Kim Jong Il was, in a word, the life of burning heart, literally the life of burning fire.

Indeed, beyond words is the life of the Chairman who devoted himself for the country and the people with ardent love and affection and who went on a forced march of field guidance until the last moment of his life, though he had achieved immortal exploits for the building of the socialist power which was the lifelong desire of President Kim Il Sung and for the reunification of the country and the cause of global independence, working hard beyond human's mental and physical limits.

We should keep pace with the steps of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and devote all our wisdom and passion to the building of the socialist power, bearing in mind the Chairman's super intensive forced march which was full of patriotic devotion.
