Stekov's admiration

 2021.12.8.

Today, the progressive people of the world regard President Kim Il Sung as "the greatest man that ever lived" of our era and highly praise him as the iron-willed brilliant commander who defeated the two powerful imperialists for one generation.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"In the revolutionary war against the Japanese imperialists and the Fatherland Liberation War he defeated formidable imperialist enemies who boasted of their numerical and technological superiority, by dint of political and ideological, strategic and tactical superiority; the world people came to admire and believe in him as an iron-willed commander, outstanding military strategist and symbol of victory in the anti-imperialist struggle."

The great Fatherland Liberation War was, in essence, a class war between capitalism and socialism, a class war between the exploiting classes and the exploited classes, a world war between the West and the East, a more serious and fierce struggle than World War I and the Second World War against Nazism which was aimed at colonial redistribution.

However, the Korean people performed miracles of victory in the war startling the world people under the outstanding leadership of the ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander Kim Il Sung.

The three-year chronicle of the Fatherland Liberation War, from June 25 to July 27, records a number of legendary anecdotes told by foreigners who witnessed the noble personality of President Kim Il Sung as an iron-willed brilliant commander.

The Soviet ambassador to our country during the Fatherland Liberation War is one of the foreigners who frequently witnessed the courage and guts of the great leader as the iron-willed brilliant commander.

On October 21, Juche 39(1950) President Kim Il Sung left Okchon for the Chinese People's Volunteers Command and was climbing a hill. The attendants, who were concerned about the health of the President who had not had dinner for over midnight, set a small meal they had already prepared under a large pine tree. Seeing this, Stekov said that the Yankees had begun to pour near the Chongchon River, and that they had no time for the artillery fire, and that they had to leave quickly. In his opinion, the great leader seemed to dismiss the urgent situation.

Seeing through Stekov's complex feelings, the great leader said that the ambassador was afraid of him, adding that he would like a rest and a meal when he tried to tidy up the cars and dine, and that he could win the battle with the enemy.

Wondering if the great leader forgot it was war time, Stekov said to him again with his wide-open eyes. "Well, Supreme Commander, you are in the grim reality of war at the moment." Stekov was a veteran military and political official who had experienced the bitterness of wars during the days of the Soviet-Finnish War, the Soviet –Germany war and the war against Japan and boasted of himself that he could judge the prospects of the war hearing the cannon's roar.

But President Kim Il Sung said that they had to eat heartily so as to win the battle with strength as it was a war, and added that although they had a frugal outdoor meal in that unknown mountain that day, he would have a big banquet on the occasion of the war victory after winning the war and remember that day.

Stekov said with excitement to our officials, as though he felt once again that he was standing before a great man who no one can follow in his courage and guts. "As long as they are led by President Kim Il Sung, Korean people will certainly win a victory. I see the lofty image of President Kim Il Sung who makes an inspection of the heroes' parade in the plaza of the war victory where fireworks go off."

This is by no means the admiration of only one person.

Anyone who met President Kim Il Sung personally during the Fatherland Liberation War, including Stekov, the Soviet ambassador to the DPRK, Vasilyev, the military attache to the embassy and lieutenant general of the Soviet Army, and Pengdehui, the commander of the Chinese People's Volunteers Army, would be excited.

They were always admiring the great personality of the iron-willed brilliant commander Kim Il Sung who was overcoming trials and difficulties with laughter and optimism even in the grim days of his struggle.

As they admired, President Kim Il Sung was possessed of the mettle and courage of the brilliant commander consolidated with the spirit and iron will of Mt. Paektu which dare not be thought by ordinary people.

Korean people are dynamically building a socialist power under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is identical to President Kim Il Sung in faith, will, courage and grit.

The Korean people who are making revolution under the guidance of the great men admired by the world will always win victory and glory generation after generation.
