On April 10, 2012, the respected General Secretary visited the construction site of the People's Theater that was nearing completion.
Looking around the People's Theatre, he was very satisfied that another monumental edifice had been built so that the people could enjoy their lives as creators and enjoyers of socialist culture and that another precious asset which could firmly succeed Juche art could be handed down to the next generations. Then suddenly, he looked around the 1500-seat amphitheater and gave the officials a concerned look.
The officials were at a loss feeling self-reproach that they had made him concerned as there was something imperfect.
But his words went totally beyond their expectation. The respected General Secretary instructed that the sofas in the central auditorium that was specially made in the 1 500-seat amphitheater should be taken away.
Just then the officials realized what was wrong.
Looking at the officials, the respected General Secretary said in a warm voice that he would watch the performance in the same seats as the ordinary people. Then he continued that the seating capacity would be increased if the sofas in the central were replaced by ordinary seats.
Casting a warm look on the officials, who were deeply impressed, the respected General Secretary said that Chairman
"We Serve the People!" is the slogan of love for the people personally set forth by the Chairman, who always taught that the officials should not be bureaucrats reigning over the people but the servants of the people.
The patriotic heart of the Chairman was fully occupied by the people that even when he was visiting the newly-constructed streets and parks, he asked if people liked them before anything else; even when he was examining a design, he asked about the comment of the people.
The construction of a number of monumental structures named after the "people", such as the People's Theater, the People's Outdoor Ice-rink, and the Rungna People's Pleasure Ground and the prevailing atmosphere of respecting and loving the people in the whole Party and society are due to the lofty idea of the Chairman, who spared nothing for the people.
Everything centered on the people! Priority to the people!
The officials could not make another request to the respected General Secretary, who considers people even when he took one step and intends to live as plainly as people by following the noble example of Chairman
Today in the socialist Korea, the slogan "We Serve the People!", in which the noble view on the people of our Party are embodied, can be seen everywhere including cities and rural areas, factories and service facilities, and even on the buses running in the streets.
